Our ambition is to change the creation of cocktails and mocktails, being the frontier of non-alcoholic products and changing the perception of what an alcohol-free drink can be. It all comes down to the taste!
Carlbaum’s is a series of craft non-alcoholic spirits, vermouths and cocktail mixers that are easily blended into perfect drinks with or without alcohol, for both the bar and at home. We also tailor drink and bar concepts in close collaboration with our clients. Carlbaum’s is the first and only Swedish maker of craft products of its kind.

The Carlbaum family – A story of three generations. The Carlbaum family has been active in the restaurant business for three generations, from Berns Salonger in the 40s to Grand Hotel and later Nobis Hotel 70 years later.
Being the third generation of the Carlbaum restaurateur family, Christian Carlbaum has always been passionate about creating extraordinary drink experiences, both for himself and others. In 2013, he came up with an idea to make it easier to create perfect cocktails and mocktails for parties and picnics. Instead of always bringing a lot of different bottles, he made a couple of drink mixers. That year, Carlbaum’s Cocktail Mixers was born.

In 2015, Christian turned his kitchen into a lab and began to develop the concept and recipes. The goal was to offer a series of cocktail mixers, of which each one could be blended into numerous different drinks, in the simplest way and with perfect taste.
He developed a drink system based on the essential flavors and ingredients found in a very large number of cocktails, then created the Cocktail Mixers based on that matrix. That is how he could make sure that each Cocktail Mixer would generate about 15 different drinks by simply adding different spirits or spirit and soda water. It took almost one year to get to that perfect mix of sweetness, acidity, bitterness and flavor.
A Swedish handicraft
Today, we have a small production site in the south of Stockholm where we develop recipes and produce very small batches that we deliver to some of the best bars in Stockholm. We also have a larger site in Skåne where we produce larger batches.
Many of our ingredients are locally produced in Sweden, but in cases where we cannot find the right quality locally, we import the ingredients ourselves for each batch that we produce. That is how we always can guarantee the best quality on our products.
Primofiori lemons from Murcia. To find the perfect lemon juice, Christian travelled to Murcia in south-eastern Spain to meet the producer of some of the best lemon juice in the world.
The juice we are using in our Drink Mixers are made from sun ripe Primofiori lemons that are picked from a radius of 10 miles and squeezed into juice the very same day, then frozen and shipped to Sweden.
